Once again it is that time of year to announce the annual Carols on the Plaza put on by the “Churches Together On Hayling” group.
This classic event has now becoming part of the many must do traditional things to attend on Hayling. This up beat musical mellay of traditional and the modern will have us all singing along and tapping our feet.
Look out for the posters (as shown opposite) for all the details.
Please dress appropriately for the weather and you may find bringing a torch useful.
The ‘Playing on the Plaza’ team, organisers of Hayling Island’s annual season of volunteer staged free live music events, have announced the dates for their 2011 programme. Musicians and entertainers of all genres from rock n’ roll and street dancers to brass bands and magicians, are being sourced to perform at Eastoke Corner’s new alfresco bandstand on the Sunday afternoons featured on the right, click on the bands names to find out more about the featured bands of the day.
The three hour events devised as part of the Hayling’s BEST Market Town Initiative, which also includes Island projects such as the Hayling Scarecrow Festival and the ‘Discover Hayling’ local history group, are volunteer run and completely free of charge to attend. They will take place on the Livability Plaza at Eastoke Corner between 2pm and 5pm.
