The Therapy Rooms Ian and Jane Maclaughlin run a music recording studio on Hayling Island. They are looking forward to welcoming musicians back to The THERAPY ROOM MUSIC STUDIO SESSIONS on the 23rd July this year as part of The Hi-Fest festival. The event will be at The Plaza, Eastoke Corner, on the beach stage, on the 23rd July ( 2pm - 7pm) this year. They will be selling CD’s from the bands involved that have been recording in the studio. Some of the musicians that we have playing at Hi-Fest at The Plaza on 23rd July. Fool Moon Nick Manley (voices/guitar/mandolin/songsmithery), Ian Maclaughlin (basses/recording), and Ray Lucking (drums/percussion/backing vocals). A recent addition to the band is Graham Jones (lead guitar). They play an eclectic mix of Folk, Blues and Jazz. They formed in 1978 and were finalists in the Melody Maker group competition. In 2016 when Nick came back from France they reformed as Fool Moon again. They play a mix of original songs and will throw in a few covers along the way. Splinter A top class classic rock band playing all over the south coast, they have been together for a couple of years, but have all played in several other bands for a number of years. The band members are Gav Driver/singer/songwriter/guitar, Rupe Rance/drums, Ian Maclaughlin/bass, and Steve Thornton/keyboards. Splinter are 4 talented, well respected musicians that have played at various festivals, including the likes of Wickham, Petersfield and Gosport Festival, pubs, clubs and private functions, and larger venues. They play exciting original and cover music that keeps the audience on the dance floor from beginning to end. Scott Hodges Scott is a sensitive and creative solo musician and singer/songwriter. He plays guitar and piano and has a natural voice that relays his feelings about the world around him, a talented soul. His songs are original and from the heart. China White Malcolm Mcinnes /singer/songwriter/guitar, John Whale/bass, Graham Jones /lead guitar, Ray Lucking /drums/percussion, Nick Manley. Malcom sings original songs and covers in his own creative style. Think Tom Waits meets John Martyn! Great vocals and experienced musicians who again play in other bands as well.
